The National Parliamentary Library received gifts form the US
 15/05/2024

We are delighted to share news of a generous donation to the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia from our esteemed American Friends. This donation includes 47 boxes filled with the latest educational and scientific publications across various disciplines. Additionally, it encompasses two significant archives documenting the experiences of the first Georgian immigrants in America. These archives were graciously donated by the descendants of the first Georgian emigrants, Marysia Chavchavadze and Richard Giorgian.

These invaluable scientific books originate from Nova Science Publishers, a renowned institution founded in 1985 by Frank Columbus in New York. With Mr. Columbus's background as the former Vice President of Cambridge Publishing, we can confidently assert the exceptional quality of these materials. Nova Science Publishers consistently releases approximately 1800 new books annually, each containing cutting-edge scientific knowledge.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nadia Columbus, wife of Frank Columbus, for her generous gesture in presenting us with this remarkable gift. In anticipation of this significant acquisition, we are pleased to announce an upcoming showcase in the prestigious Anglo-American Hall of the National Library. This event will serve as a platform to spotlight the latest literature and facilitate intellectual discourse. We invite you to stay tuned for further updates on this exciting endeavor.
