The National Library Department of Science Culture and Civic Education launch a new project envisaging creation of the new intranet digital library:”Selected Editions of Georgian NGOs”.

Within the framework of the project “Georgian Book Corners Abroad”, elaborated by the National Library, 50 Georgian editions have already sent to Queens Library in New York.

On 13 October, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and Georgian-American Association “Kvali” by Giorgi Kekelidze, General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, and Shota Vashakidze, President of the Association “Kvali”.

On 9 October 2015, the list of nominees for Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award will be announced by Boel Westin, ALMA Jury Chairman, at Frankfurt Book Fair.

The National Parliamentary Library of Georgia started digitization of sheet music from its collections. The digitized versions will be posted on the electronic library “Iverieli”.

The National Parliamentary Library of Georgia donated books to the libraries of villages of Cholashi, Kalashi and Lenjeri, Zemo Svaneti Region. The event was held within the joint project “Digital Photo Chronicles” of the National Library and Company “Geocell”.

Otar Lomtadze, the researcher of the hunting history and author of several fundamental works about hunting, cyberneticist, donated to the National Library the best books from his unique private library, including Gun Hunting Dictionary by Sergei Romanov published in 1877, Hunter's Handbook by Sergey Buturlin published in 1925, and “Hunting with Dogs and Gun” published in 1897.

Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and EuroGeorgia- Malta, Georgian Culture Centre in Malta, on 16 September at 12:00.
