On December 4, the National Library of Georgia hosted a screening of “Prince Nicholas Chkhotua,” the fourth episode of the documentary series “Unknown Stories of Famous Abkhazians.” The film, produced by the Georgian Public Broadcaster and based on Nato Marshania’s book “Abkhaz Aristocrats in Exile,” presents lesser-known historical insights into prominent Abkhaz aristocratic families.

The documentary draws in part on the archive of Nikoloz and Charles Chkhotua, preserved at the National Library, where the Chkhotua Hall is also located.

The event was attended by representatives of the Government of Abkhazia, the Georgian Public Broadcaster, the National Library, and other public institutions.
