The fruit of Wagner’s prize apple is of medium size, flattened-round, conspicuously ribbed, it holds well with a short stem and does not easily drop; Wagner’s prize apple is a heavy producer, the abundance of fruiting impairing the size of fruits.<br />

With its dark-red covering colour, the apple is very attractive in appearance.<br />

The peculiar features of this sort are: good cold resistance, medium growth, low requisits to environment and agricultural engineering, early bearing, heavy productivity, high percentage of commercially acceptable fruits.<br />

Wagner’s prize apple is not recommendable as a fundamental commercial sort for the principal commercially growing districts.<br />
