The Biographical Dictionary of Georgian Athletes covers Georgians and citizens of Georgia who played an important role in the history of Georgian sport and won at least one prize in any sport competition. The Biographical Dictionary contains winners of Georgian and International competitions, including Soviet Games and Spartakiads.

The project aims at publishing the biographies of all Georgian athletes.

დაიბადა სოფელ ბერშუეთში (გორი). ძიუდოს მწვრთნელი. სსრკ ძიუდოისტთა ნაკრების მწვრთნელი (1976-80). მისი აღზრდილები არიან: ოლიმპიური თამაშების, მსოფლიოსა და ევროპის ჩემპიონები – შოთა ხაბარელი, თემურ ხუბულური (ორივე – ძიუდო), იოსებ ახალბედაშვილი და აკაკი ხანიშვილი (ორივე – სამბო). სსრკ დამსახურებული მწვრთნელი. ღირსების ორდენის კავალერი.
