The presented "Bio-bibliography of Vladimer (Lado) Aghniashvili" includes the literature published during the period of twenty years (1883 - 1904), and is composed on the basis of scientific and documentary materials of the Central State Historical Archive of Georgia (CSHAG), Georgian Parliamentary National Library named after I. Chavchavadze and Department of Manuscripts of G. Leonidze State Museum of Georgian literature. First, there is the full analytical bio-bibliography of books edited by Aghniashvili and articles about him published in Georgian journals, magazines and collections. With the purpose of investigation an ethnographical expedition was made in Shilda Village, Kvareli Region, as a result of which we obtained the interesting photo-materials and studied Aghniashvili's family genealogy.
The material is given in chronological and alphabetical order and consists of six chapters and eight enclosures.
The first chapter is a review of Aghniashvili's life and activities. The second chapter includes the main dates of Aghniashvili's life and creative works. The third chapter is dedicated to Aghniashvili's pedagogical heirloom (books, literature of educational and cognitive characters for the young generation). The fourth chapter includes the list of Aghniashvili's works. The enumeration of books, journals and newspapers, which makes clear the separate sides of Aghniashvili's biography, is presented in the fifth chapter. The sixth chapter consists of reviews and responses to Lado Aghniashvili's pedagogical and social activities (XIX century). The use of decipher and quotation is permitted (partially and completely).
The enclosure contains the factual material, which verifies the practical measures, dedicated to Aghniashvili's 140 year birthday anniversary, which was made with the purpose of appreciation of such a great man's merit.
