L. Shatirishvili's article "Basil of Ancyra's work and its Georgian translation" presents the comparative analysis of the Greek text of Basil of Ancyra's work "On Virginity" and its Georgian translation. Peculiarities of Georgian translation are given in this article.
On the comparative basis of the Georgian translation and Giorgi the Athonite's translation method is expressed an opinion, that the Georgian translation of treatise "On Virginity" was done by prominent scholar of the literary school of Mt. Athos Giorgi the Athonite.

L. Shatirishvili's article "On Byzantine author of the 4th century Basil of Ancyra" gives the data about Basil of Ancyra - as a writer and as a spiritual person. These materials are found in Byzantine sources and in the research works of European and Russian scholars of the 19th-20th centuries.
According to those sources Basil was the bishop of Ancyra in 336-360. He is also author of treatise "On Virginity". This work was supposed to be written by Basil of Great. This treatise is pseudoepigraphic and was created by Basil of Ancyra.
