Agen

In Georgia sort of plum Agen is met only along the Black sea in single trees.
This plum has been formerly widely distributed in Abkhasia, while presently, regardiess of its good productivity it becomes substituted by the commercially important Italian Hungarian (Fellenberg) because of the dried product of the latter being of a better quality than that of Ajanka.
The merits of Ajanka are: early ripening, in midaugust, good productivity, and as compared with Fellenberg, better resistance to Laspeyresia.
