Champion - an American sort of peach, introduced in Georgia quite recently, not widely distributed yet, existing only in collections.
Fruits begin to ripen in the middle of August. Maturation protracted.
Champion is valuable as a table sort of peaches of the mid-season period with white flesh, excellent in flavour, with a free stone, acceptable also for canning and particularly good for compote.
Champion is a perspective sort.
