Grand Duc
NPLG Wiki Dictionaries გვერდიდან
Trees of the English plum Grand Duc are met sometimes in the districts of Eastern Georgia.
This sort has the merits of large, handsome fruits, good shipping qualities, high productivity, adaptability to environment.
Fruits ripen at the end of August or in the beginning of September. They are not subjected to rot, but not well flavoured, and not usable for drying and canning. This accounts for the fact of this sort gaining no commercial importance.
