The fruit of this sort surpasses in flavour and size all the early peaches, but they do not stand shipping, are easily injured and so delicate as require great attention in picking otherwise conserving prints on their skin. Considering this Rivers’ early cannot be recommended for wide commercial growing, remaining valuable in the quality of an early sort for home use in fresh condition.
