The pear Trout plays in Georgia the part of a rarity among amateur orchards.
The fruit
The size of the fruit is greatly variable in dependence upon the stock, sometimes medium, often small; shape also polymorph. Smooth skin, yellow green colour, with a bright red blush on the sunny side, covered with conspicuous red dots, from where derives its name of Trout.
Flesh white, tender, half melting, rather juicy, sweet, with a pleasant flavour and attractive aroma.
Fruits initiate maturation in August, protracted till the end of September.
