Agdjanabadi
Agdjanabadi – the sort of apricots known in Georgia under the name of Agdjanabadi is called in Armenia „Amban“.
Heavy fruiting, comparatively late blooming and rather good resistance to fungus diseases are to be listed among the merits of this sort.
In the environment of Gori crop ripens about the end of July.
Tree
Tree with a wide top, rich in foliage; one year old shoots yellow in colour.
Fruit
Fruit medium in size or small (4,7 x 4,6 x 4,7 cm.) , oval rounded in shape; skin firm, adhering to the pulp, slightly pubescent, ivory in colour. Sometimes delicately blushed on the sunny side.
Pulp white, transparent,,glassy, firm, sweet, without acidity. Stone small, 7% of the total weight of the fruit, not readily separating from the pulp.
Fruits used fresh and canned.
