Antonovka
The Russian apple Antonovka is not very widely distributed in Georgia. Trees of this sort are sometimes met as a pomological rarity in Karthli.
The fruit is of medium size, long, narrowing to the calyx, rounded near the stem, slightly ribbed, ribs more conspicuous near the calyx, stem well attached to the fruit what prevents the latter from dropping.
Skin green at harvest maturity, pale-yellow with a greenish tint at using maturity, covered with brown dots, slightly blushed on the sunny side.
Pulp white, with a violet tint, roughly grained, rather juicy when fully ripe. Flavour not very delicate.
This sort belongs to the kitchen and table group.
