The origin of the pear Sugary remains unknown. In Georgia it is unfrequent, being met as a pomological rarity only in Karthli.
The tree is of medium growth, with a wide oval top; it does not succeed on the quince.
Fruit small, elongated, pyriform.
Skin yellowith, with a red blush on the sunny side, scattered with brown dots.
Flesh white, tinted pink on the grained, sweetish, with a muscadine aroma.
Fruits not much susceptible to scab; they ripen in midjuly, swell during storage.
The pear Sugary is considered as a good early sort for table, useable as well in the canning industry.
