The name of Shakara legvi is attributed to a sort met nearly everywhere in the district of Kakhetia, and comprising several clone variations scarcely differing from each other.
The present pomological description is given by a sample taken from the village Bakurtzikhe.

The tree grows vigorously, with one trunk, sometimes as a bush.
Branches strong.
Leaf fivelobed with deep sinuosities.

Shakara legvi gives only one crop of summer fruits yearly.
Fruits small, 2-2,5 cm. high, 3 cm. wide.
The colour of the fruit when fully ripe is greenish; stem short of the same colour with green scales.
Skin thin with a thin layer of pulp under it.
The interior of the fruit is void, small, coloured greenish, with a pinkish tint by places.
Seeds small, not numerous.
In flavor the fruit is very good and sugary and pleasantly aromatic.
The fruits of Shacara legvi are very good for table, pastry and preserving, though too small for drying.
